Fulfilling the wishes of Palliative Care Patients

Sadiah Farrah is a 19 year old young lady who lives with both a life limiting heart condition and a brain injury sustained when she was a young child. Both these conditions she has battled with all her life, having numerous operations to try and improve her quality of life. As much as Sadiah has always wanted to be a normal teenager, she has never had an opportunity to attend any rock concerts because her ill health has robbed her of a chance to do so. However she approached the Race4Life Trust with a special request for tickets to the Justin Bieber concert. Deb Kirton from Facilities Auckland has managed to organise tickets for Sadiah and her Mum. Air tickets have been organised by the Race4Life Trust and accommodation kindly offered by Heather Johnson in her BnB in Grey Lynn.

Whilst in Auckland Sadiah and her Mum will be visiting Kelly Tarltons who have generously issued passes for the Saturday morning of the 17th.

The afternoon will be spent getting ready for the concert with pamperings being supplied by Louise Pilkington and students Isabella and Vivapopan from Premiere School Of Education. Whilst in Auckland they will be dining at White and Wongs, St Heliers Café, the Up Café in the city  and Kokako Café in Grey Lynn. Ange Fedfern from Ripe Deli has again agreed to supply a meal for the girls on the night of the concert.

Continental Cars never fail to cater for our patient’s needs. A car will be supplied to transport Sadiah and her Mum Rukshana for the time they are in Auckland.

It is absolutely awesome, to see the generosity and compassion shown to Sadiah, helping to make her dream a reality. Thank you all so very much.
