Fulfilling the wishes of Palliative Care Patients

What a wonderful night the Spearpoint family had last evening celebrating an intimate family Xmas dinner at Hospice Waikato. Race4Life Trust teamed up with the crew at Hospice Waikato and provided a beautiful family Christmas dinner with all the frills.

53 year old Ray, had a special wish for a family meal and if a fancy car could be placed in the mix, he was a starter!!
The Spearpoint family are from Morrinsville. Quite fortunately so is Ian Hayr. With a background of very successful Porsche racing in NZ, Ian of late has directed his interest to a brand new volcano orange McLaren. Being a supporter of Race4Life, Ian and his lovely wife Claire, were only too pleased to be a part of Ray's wish. Ray was transported to and from Hospice in the McLaren. We didn't ask too many questions , but it is fair to say that Ray, got a good idea of what the McLaren is capable of.

A huge thank you to Hospice Waikato, especially Nicola who set up the room , and to Diana who helped us out throughout the meal. Rosemary Poole you have some wonderful volunteers in your organisation.

To Gillian Stobo, an incredibly loyal Race4Life Trust supporter, thank you so much for sharing your expertise in creating an absolutely beautiful Xmas dinner for this very deserving family.
You are simply a gem.

To the Spearpoint family we wish each and everyone of you a very happy Christmas
