Fulfilling the wishes of Palliative Care Patients

MaryEllen is married to Errol and has two daughters, Imogen 16yrs and Mikaelah 11yrs. MaryEllen was diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer in 2011. After lengthy treatment and a period of remission, she was advised in 2014 that the cancer had not only returned, but spread, and her condition was now terminal.

Mary Ellen is only 38. Any treats over the last seven years have been very few and far between for this young family. However it is wonderful that the family found out about the work of the Trust, as they have always wanted to travel to Doubtful Sound.

This weekend the plan is for the family to join the Doubtful Sound cruise on Saturday for the full day experience. A huge THANK YOU to Real Journeys They will be staying at the Distinction hotel for the weekend and will be special guests to Brent Stander and his team. The family will dine at the hotel and the local and well renown The Fat Duck   during their stay. As a special treat Jeff Shanks from Milford Helicopters will take the family for a ride on Sunday morning before they return to Invercargill.

The Bryan family are very humble and so appreciative of a chance to create some cherished memories for their family.

Race4Life wishes them a treasured and beautiful time together.
