Fulfilling the wishes of Palliative Care Patients

Marianne Helsloot is a 61 year old lady who has Glioblastoma, and very little time to live. She has contacted the Race4Life Trust with a special request to spend some time with her family before she dies.

Marianne has three adult daughters who live in different areas of the North Island. The family have been gifted a holiday home on Waiheke Island for this weekend of December 16th -18th, by Peter Coakley and his wife Ingrid.

While on Waiheke the family have a wonderful time in store. Meals have been gifted to them by Sarah from Wai Kitchen, Rebecca from Oyster Inn, Lauren from Charlie Farleys, and Cat from Casita Miro.

A wine tasting experience is awaiting them at Stonyridge Vineyard, kindly organised by Rachel, and groceries have donated to the family, by the Race4Life Trust for a homemade meal on the first night of their stay.

SeaLinks have again come to the party with Libby Hindmarsh providing passage way for two cars and 5 adults.

A huge thank you to all those generous businesses that have gifted this special time to the Helsloot Family.
