Fulfilling the wishes of Palliative Care Patients

46 year old Mandy Lee who has been suffering from Cerebral Palsy all her life recently, contacted the Race4Life Trust. Mandy has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and wondered whether we could help her special wish come true.

Mandy's wish is to spend some time in the Bay of Islands to have a look around and to create some special memories with her Mum and Dad. Mandy will have to travel with two caregivers as well, who will take shifts around Mandy's needs. (Mandy's Mum and Dad are well into their 80's so they are unable to do this).
Mandy starts on her adventure next Tuesday. Darren Milner from Rod Milner Motors has donated the use of a mobility van for the duration of the wish. As mentioned, Mandy needs two caregivers with her for the trip. North Shore Housing Trust and Rotary Club of Milford Community Charitable Trust have kindly offered to pay the wages of the caregivers while they are looking after Mandy. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Mandy has such an exciting adventure in front of her. She will visit Paihia, Russell, Waitangi, Kawakawa and Kereikeri whilst away.
