Fulfilling the wishes of Palliative Care Patients

83 year old Faith Bullin is one of those people who has spent her life giving to others. Faith therefore found it somewhat challenging to ask for help to go and see her family in Whitanga. Faith heard about the services of the Race 4 Life Trust and put in her wish!! On Monday 9th of November Faith was picked up by Ted Leng, a volunteer for the R4L Trust, in his prized Morgan Sports.

In style the two drove down to Whitanga stopping at the Bugger Cafe on the Plains. They had an awesome time at the cafe, an unplanned stop, but one they will always remember, because of how beautifully they were treated.

Faith had a wonderful time with family during the week. One of her planned ventures was to have lunch at the ESPY Cafe, on the Esplanade in Whitanga. They were hosted by Bev and Duncan Woods who really made of fuss of the party.

Race 4 Life organised a flight for Faith to return home on Monday 16th November. Dave Brown from Christian Aviation cancelled the flight because of bad weather. Faith was thrilled as it gave her one more day with her family. Dave did manage to get her home on Tuesday, where she was met by Volunteer, Gerry Lynch, who drove Faith home in his Lexus.
