Fulfilling the wishes of Palliative Care Patients

38 years old, Cherie Sayer suffers from Colon Cancer and has been in and out of hospital for months as the disease progresses. Cherie lives in Rotorua and sees very little of her sister Vanessa who lives in Hamilton. Cherie's special wish was to share a beach holiday with her sister and children. Cherie has one child Destin, who is 6 and Vanessa has three children, ranging from 1-7 years
Peter Coakley and his wife Ingrid, who are associated with Dove House Hospice, have kindly offered their home in Waiheke Island next week for the families.
Sealink Ferries have been very generous in providing ferry transport for two cars to Waiheke. Petrol stations in Hamilton, Rotorua and Auckland have kindly donated petrol for the cause and New World, in both areas has contributed to the groceries for the week. Mud Brick Restaurant and Vineyard have again shown great compassion yet again, in gifting the families a lunch while on the island.
How cool is this!!
