Fulfilling the wishes of Palliative Care Patients

Aroha Andrews is a 34 years old young woman with 4 children (aged 10, 7, 5, and 4). Unfortunately Aroha has not been winning her fight with Breast Cancer and she has very little time to live.

Consequently she has contacted the Race4Life Trust with a special request to spend some time with her family in Rotorua, before she dies. Aroha’s Mum, Annie, is fulltime carer of Aroha, along with Aroha’s partner Sam.

Four children and three adults is a big number to cater for, however it has not fazed our very loyal supporters in Rotorua. The family, who arrive in Rotorua on Friday, will be accommodated in the Millennium hotel, with manager Michele Weston providing three rooms for the Andrews family. Francisca from The Polynesian Spa, Amelia from Amaze Me, and Cheyenne from Rainbows Springs have all given special Passes to the family.  Rachel from Skyline Rotorua has gifted the family with free luge rides, a ride in the Gondola and dinner at the Skyline Stratosfare Restaurant, on the Saturday evening. Meals at Capers Epicurean Restaurant and the Lone Star Rotorua provide the icing on the cake.

What a wonderful weekend in store, for a very grateful family.

We wish you all a fantastic time.
